Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid period, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his service game in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks his maiden trophy following the Italian tournament and first on a hard court since spring of the previous year.
The win also means the Russian has achieved 21 victories at 21 different events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a event with my both daughters at once, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, comprising in Halle in the past months.
His defensive play style and frequent reactions on court had prompted commentators to question if his capacity to compete at the highest level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, striving to approach the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
The champion came back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult opponent, taking four of the concluding five points to go ahead.
The competitors traded service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his first ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to create a third set.
The opponent saved four early chances in a close final set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, the winner clinched the win with a rally at the net, with Moutet incapable to control a shot after a lengthy match.
